3 Amazing Ways To Spend The Day In Kuala Lumpur

When you arrive in Kuala Lumpur the first thing you notice is how westernized it is. It's hard to tell it's an Asian city. You could be walking along any city in the United States. They have a sky train that can take you anywhere you want to go. The bus service is fantastic and the trains are always running on time. It's definitely different from somewhere like Bangkok, an equally large Asian city, where everything always seems to be chaotic. You will be very comfortable in KL, as long as you don't mind the stifling heat and humidity.

It's somewhere you need to visit at least once in your lifetime. The Petronas Towers line the sky and you can't help but feel like you're in New York. It will make you feel right at home. But the city is about more than some fancy looking buildings. Much more. You could easily spend a week here exploring and taking in some fantastic sites. You can use it as a platform to get to the islands, but it's quite easy to have the time of your life staying inside the city. But you're going to want to know what's up.

Shopping like never before

Times Square is a massive shopping center in the middle of the city. It has every possible shop you could ever think of. You could spend the whole day getting lost in there. I'm sure it must have some kind of record for the number of elevators. They even have a cinema. But that's not what is special about it. They actually have a full sized theme park inside the building. And if that doesn't blow your socks off they even have a rollercoaster that does a loop the loop. Indoors. It's really something else. A great day out for the family.

Explore some caves

If you feel like your legs can carry you up hundreds of stairs you need to visit the Batu Caves. They lie about 13km outside the city and are easily accessible by bus. There caves are over 400 million years old. Once inside the size of it will take your breath away. You could spend hours looking around and taking great pictures. Outside of India, the giant caves are one of the biggest Hindu shrines in the world. You will get the chance to play around with some monkeys who guard the caves. Just watch out they don't steal your food.

Disneyland of Asia

If you want to add a bit of excitement to your trip you can visit Sunway Lagoon. This is the biggest attraction in the whole of Asia. What makes it so fantastic is that it's 5 theme parks rolled up into 1 location. You can cool down at a massive water park, get scared to death at Scare Park, get your adrenaline pumping at Extreme Park, hit some massive rides at Amusement Park, and even play around with all the beautiful animals at Wildlife Park. You won't have enough time to take it all in on one day. It's just amazing.
