Benefits of Choosing to Stay in Caravans in Cornwall

Out of the many places where you could stay when you visit Cornwall, caravans may not be the first thing that comes to mind. That being said staying in caravans is actually a much better option than you might initially think – and there are several benefits of choosing to stay in a caravan while you visit Cornwall.

It is important to note that caravan holidays in Cornwall generally consist of two different types: Mobile caravans can be rented (or you can bring your own) and parked at most campsites, whereas static caravans are essentially prefabricated structures that tend to be bigger.

Needless to say mobile caravans are an interesting way to holiday in Cornwall as they will double up as a method of transportation. More importantly if you intend to explore several different areas in Cornwall you park at different campsites – most of which will tend to give you access to amenities such as power supply, hot water, and so on. All in all this will make it more convenient, and the cost of renting parking spaces at campsites will be much lower than if you were to book a room in a hotel of any kind.

On the other hand static caravans are just as attractive, or more so – in some cases. Because they tend to be larger they can fit more people comfortably, and often come with a wide range of amenities pre-installed. Essentially these units can be found at many of the campsites in Cornwall, and they tend to be much more affordable than what it would cost to rent rooms for a similar number of people in budget hotels, bed and breakfasts, or other types of accommodation.

Additionally if you rent a static caravan at a campsite, you will be able to enjoy the other amenities and features that it offers as well. Many of the better campsites in Cornwall have their own private lakes that are stocked for fishing, parks, nature trails, and other interesting features. In short you could enjoy all the best bits of a camping trip without having to rough it out in a tent.

As you can see both of these types of caravans have their own benefits, and in general they are an affordable place to stay for a group of people. That is the main reason why you should consider them when you’re planning a trip to Cornwall – especially if you’re traveling with your family or a group of friends on a budget. At the end of the day staying in a caravan might be the best option as it will provide you with a nice holiday home while giving you access to the full campsite experience.
